Set 2 & Full Set - Ideal for professionals looking to expand their capabilities. These sets include additional tools for more advanced layouts, complex scribing and increased versatility, allowing you to tackle virtually any flooring project.

Despite other scribing tools available out there in the market being unable to do this - MawBoards does all sized tiles, no matter what, without needing additional boards. Whether it's 95mm, 3 inch or 7 inch tiles, it'll do it all. This applies to Herringbone set and it's Mini version, Set 1, Set 2 and Full Set. 

The only set that is designed to work with specific plank sizes is the All Scribe Set.

It is possible for you to 'upgrade' the Herringbone set into Set 1 by purchasing the Straight Lay Set directly. This will give you the boards you require to bridge the gap between the two sets. 

For upgrading to Set 2 and Full Set, you will need to get into contact with the team via WhatsApp or submit a form on the contact us page. 

Yes. Many installers switch to MawBoards after using other scribing systems. While every fitter has their own preferences, MawBoards has been designed to provide a versatile solution for a wide range of LVT installations.

MawBoards are designed primarily for professional LVT installers and those with experience fitting flooring.

If you're new to LVT fitting, our tools can still be used, but they are intended for users with a good understanding of flooring installation techniques. We also provide tutorial videos and support to help you get the most from the system.

We strongly discourage DIYers from using MawBoards. 

MawBoards are designed to deliver millimetre-perfect scribing. If this is not the case, please check one of the following:

- You have not used it in glue. This can off-set the MawBoard by creating build up around the perspex that 'hooks' onto the LVT or 
- The glue has adhered to the MawBoard and pulled the perspex out of place.

If you have not used it in glue, the MawBoards have not been abused - get in contact with the team and we'll be able to assist further.

Most floorlayers are producing confident, accurate scribes within just a few jobs. As with any new system, speed comes with practice, but many fitters tell us that once they've become familiar with MawBoards, they wouldn't go back to traditional scribing methods.

We always try to help where there are damaged MawBoards in either situation of:
- The MawBoards have been wrecked during transit to you by the couriers: Let us know immediately with photographic proof and we will send out a replacement as soon as possible.
 
- You have broken the boards over the time of using it: We usually are able to provide a direct replacement for the MawBoards provided they are not the 'legacy' set of over 3 years ago. Please provide a picture of the broken MawBoard and we will see what generation of MawBoard it is and we will be able to give you a price on a replacement. 

We usually endorse two things to accompany the MawBoards set.

- Self healing mat: Not necessary, but useful for putting next to your board that you're scribing with so you don't knife freshly laid LVT.

- Center punch: This is especially useful in company of the pipefinder/scribe tool - this allows you to mark the LVT in the designated holes for you to scribe to. 
We highly recommend you filing down the edge so it doesn't break the pipefinder/scribe tool while using it.
